Religious Life

Faith and pastoral care at the heart of college life, rooted in our CCAP Blantyre Synod heritage.

Our Faith Heritage

Mulanje Mission College of Nursing and Midwifery was founded in 1876 by Scottish missionaries and remains owned by the Church of Central Africa Presbyterian (CCAP) Blantyre Synod. Christian values of compassion, service, and integrity continue to shape college life and the training of every healthcare professional who studies here.

Spiritual Life on Campus

  • • Regular chapel services open to all students
  • • Morning devotions to begin the day with reflection
  • • Pastoral care and spiritual counselling available to students of all backgrounds
  • • Student-led fellowship and prayer groups
  • • Participation in wider church community activities in Mulanje

A Welcoming Community

While rooted in the Presbyterian tradition, MMCNM welcomes students of all faiths and backgrounds. Our aim is to nurture the whole person — academically, professionally, and spiritually — during their time at the college.
