A focused certificate program training skilled midwifery assistants to deliver safe, compassionate maternal and newborn care directly within local communities across Malawi.
The Community Midwife Assistance certificate program is designed to address the critical shortage of skilled birth attendants in rural and underserved communities in Malawi. This focused two-year program equips students with practical midwifery skills to assist in safe deliveries, manage routine antenatal care, and support postnatal recovery at the community level.
Unlike broader nursing qualifications, this program concentrates intensively on maternal and child health, preparing graduates to work as the first line of skilled care in villages, health centres, and outreach clinics. Graduates play a vital role in reducing maternal and infant mortality across Malawi's most vulnerable populations.
The fee for this program is K750,000 per semester.
